Although Paris is a fantastic city to visit at any time of the year, it is particularly magical around Christmas. Whether it’s the twinkling street lights, the holiday markets or the smells of delicious rich foods escaping from apartment and restaurant windows, it’s hard to ignore a holiday spirit that revolves (refreshingly) more around food than around the piggy bank.

I have always been a fan of adaptive reuse, the practice of taking a building or structure that has outlived its original purpose and converting its use while retaining their historic features. So I am soooo excited that a developer purchased the Colorado National Bank Building in downtown Denver with plans to convert it into a hotel!

Leave it to the cheeky South Africans to create a penthouse trailer park. Matthew McConaughey isn’t the only one enamored with Airstreams; The Granddaddy Hotel in Capetown installed seven airstream trailers on the rooftop and created a trailer park with sweeping views of Table Mountain and beyond. The interior of each trailer was designed by a Capetown-based interior designer and feature décor that ranges from the eccentric to the dazzling.
